Ever want to wear mittens to keep your fingers warm, but also know you’re going to have to send out a text message? You can do both with these cozy convertible gloves! Wear them as mittens until you need your fingers then flip the flap back, and they are fingerless.
The pattern works up pretty fast, and we selected it to be the first project for our Grand CAL event for those of you working on holiday gifts or selling the finished items. We know about all the busy bees this time of the year, working on stocking stuffers and such!
Also, this is a perfect small project for those that have you have never tried the Crocodile Stitch before, or need extra help with it.
This CAL is by hosted by Lianka Azulay, who has been dubbed the “Crocodile Stitch Queen” by the fiber arts industry. If you’ve ever even heard of the Crocodile Stitch, then you know a little about Lianka–she was the very designer who introduced the “Crocodile Stitch” to the world, including naming it. So in these CALs you will learn from the “OC”–the Original Crocheter of the Crocodile Stitch!
Lianka will share the do’s and don’t’s on how to use Crocodile Stitch to amazing effect, as she has experimented with it for countless hour, trial and error, crocheting and frogging, over ten years. For all crochet “scales,” be they Crocodile or imitations such as Dragon or Fish, she has tried them all and has the best tips for you!
